Boeing to Award Altair [Professional Services Close - Up]


(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Altair, a provider of simulation technology and engineering services, announced that its product development services division, Altair ProductDesign, has received a 2013 Boeing Performance Excellence Award.



According to a release, the Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. To qualify for the award, Altair maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2012, to Sept. 30, 2013.

"We have worked with Boeing since 2005 and are honored to receive this award in acknowledgment of our efforts over the last 12 months," said Mak Gilbert, Engineering Manager at Altair ProductDesign. "Our specialist teams work alongside Boeing's engineers to optimize the performance and minimize the weight of their aircraft on a daily basis. We are grateful to receive this award as a sign of the successful and close working relationship between our two companies." "Boeing has awarded Altair ProductDesign with multiple Excellence Awards since our partnership began, and we are honored to receive this award for another successful year as an engineering partner," said Robert Yancey, Altair Vice President of Aerospace Solutions.
