INFOSYS TO BOOST US, EUROPE SALES TEAMS WITH LOCAL HIRES(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Infosys Limited (Infy) is planning to strengthen its sales teams in Europe and USA with local hires in order to ensure better mining of existing clients and also drive new business acquisition. Infy is India's second largest information technology services company. The company's move comes at a time when it is seeing slower growth in these key markets, which account for nearly 75 percent of its overall revenue. Infy had 1,152 sales and marketing professionals as of 31 Mar 2013, most of them in Europe and USA. During Jan-Mar 2014, Infy's North American revenue declined by 0.8% when compared to revenue in Jan- Mar 2013. The company's European revenue increased marginally by 1% in Jan-Mar 2014 on quarter-on-quarter basis. |
