Greenberg Traurig Welcomes Shareholder Lori S. Nugent, a seasoned practitioner with a wide array of experience, will continue to focus her practice on data security and cyber liability, as well as punitive damages. She has served as a first responder, addressing hundreds of data security incidents and breaches and has handled a wide variety of other issues related to computer technology, including privacy violations, media liability, cybersecurity preparedness and governance. Nugent is experienced in managing data breach situations in a manner that protects client brands in the aftermath of a data breach. Nugent counsels clients on a wide range of matters and works with boards of directors, outside consultants and management teams to develop plans to address a company's data security and privacy risks. She is also experienced in resolving disputes that stem from data breaches through mediation, negotiation, litigation and arbitration. Nugent earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and her B.A. from Knox College.
