Fay Servicing Selects Nancy Barthel as Senior Vice President of Operational Risk

Fay Servicing, a special servicer that manages residential mortgages, announced the addition of Nancy Barthel to its executive team as the company's senior vice president of operational risk, where her role is to develop and strengthen the servicer's QA/QC programs and manage risk across the organization.

Nancy Barthel is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Fay Servicing, she served as the president of her own consulting firm, where she restructured operations, integrated technology and implemented regulatoy compliance programs for large banks, mortgage lenders and mortgage technology firms to optimize efficiency and manage audit/compliance risk. While being engaged by two different top ten U.S. banks, Barthel managed the implementation of an organization-wide single point of contact (SPOC) program and aligned business processes with new HAMP regulations. Barthel also served as chief operating officer at Pierce and Associates, one of the largest Chicago law firms specializing in foreclosures, bankruptcies and REOs for financial institutions across the country, where she led operations, information technology, finance, quality control and regulatory compliance. In addition, she was senior vice president at SunTrust Mortgage and vice president at Washington Mutual/PNC (News - Alert) Mortgage and GE Capital Mortgage.

Barthel earned her MBA at the University of Pittsburgh.
