AllSeen Alliance Announces Election of Two Community Directors


(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/16/14 -- The AllSeen Alliance, the broadest cross-industry consortium to advance the Internet of Everything, today announced that Art Lancaster and Ryo Koyama have been appointed to the Alliance's Board of Directors to represent community members and help guide the consortium.



Lancaster is chief technology officer of Affinegy, an Austin, Texas-based company, whose CHARIOT software platform enables entertainment, information, smart/safe home and energy management services to be distributed between the cloud and connected devices.

Koyama is chief executive officer and co-founder of Weaved, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based company that provides software and services to securely connect devices in the Internet of Everything.


The AllSeen Alliance was formed in December to drive an open, universal framework to connect devices and systems regardless of brand, transport layer, platform or operating system. Its 41 members are collaborating on an open software framework, based on AllJoyn, that allows devices and systems to seamlessly discover, dynamically connect and interact with nearby products.

Alliance members span diverse market segments, ranging from consumer electronics manufacturers, home appliance makers, service providers, retailers, enterprise technology companies, innovative startups, software developers and chipset manufacturers.
