Spain : TELEFONICA partnered CAIXABANK & BANCO SANTANDER to roll out New Money Transfer Service [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Spanish financial services companies CaixaBank and Banco Santander along with Telefónica have made an announcement on Friday on their partnership to introduce an innovative money transfer service by the next couple of months. The planned scheme will include two services of Yaap Money, and Yaap Shopping. And both the services will be open to all and will not depend on the bank or mobile operator for enjoying the service. Yaap Money will enable customers to do money transfers using mobile phones irrespective of their bank or telecom services provider. In a media statement, the company stated, "Yaap Shopping will go live in the coming months bringing together thousands of stores into one service with the objective of becoming Spain's largest customer loyalty network." It added, "Yaap offers digital solutions for small businesses, a sector with limited online presence, and helps them to modernise and add digital elements to their commercial activity. The offering will also facilitate SME players to give discounts, deals, and loyalty schemes to their customers, in turn helping them boost sales as well as revenue. "With Yaap's easy to use technology, neither stores nor customers will need to change their shopping routines and habits. Furthermore, Yaap Shopping will be an open platform available to all users regardless of their bank or mobile operator," revealed a media statement. Yaap will have another roll out in the near term, which will be launched as Yaap Money. With Yaap Money, a peer to peer offering, users will be able to send money from one mobile phone to another.
