Ball Aerospace to Showcase Intelligence Technologies at GEOINT 2014

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 14 April 2014 Release date- 11042014 - Boulder, Colo., - Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp., Boulder, Colo., will showcase its intelligence and geospatial technologies for the U.S. Intelligence Community at this year's GEOINT 2014 Symposium, April 14-17 in Tampa, Florida.

Ball Aerospace creates software and hardware activity-based intelligence (ABI) solutions to increase the effectiveness of the collection, processing and exploitation of GEOINT, MASINT, LASINT, and Cyber intelligence.

Demonstration technologies on display at Ball Aerospace booth #3015 will include: .Total Sight Flash Lidar is real-time, full motion color LIDAR (light imaging, detection and ranging) for time critical missions. Flash lidar provides enhanced 3D visualization via real-time display with flexible user perspective tools.

.Ball is leveraging the weather data from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) to provide ready access to day and nighttime imagery in an on-demand basis. The data from the Ball-built Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership satellite is gathered on a cloud server and converted to image tiles supporting mosaic imagery for any portion of the world. It is accessible from traditional computers, tablets, and smartphones.

.The Interactive Comprehensive Environment (ICE) tool brings together various sources of intelligence from multiple locations into a single interface, granting the user full situational awareness during a live or simulated event.

.Opticks is an open-source AGI data processing tool used to exploit MASINT data such as multi/hyperspectral, thermal-IR, SAR, and other persistent overhead scene-based data. Opticks also supports the extraction of intensity values within point cloud LiDAR data, analyzing full motion video streams, emulating 3D illuminated scenes, and processing real-time airborne hyperspectral data.

Ball Aerospace recently completed a series of environmental testing for DigitalGlobe's WV-3 Satellite scheduled to launch this summer.
