Germany,United Kingdom : CentralNic buys assets of DomiNIC GmbH [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CentralNic Group plc declared that it has purchased the assets of DomiNIC GmbH, including the DomiNIC domain management software, expanding its platform and raising the inventory it carries. This acquisition extends the reach of our platform, enabling us to work directly with the 500 corporations that are obtaining their own new Top-Level Domains (including many of the world s largest companies), as well as with the thousands of companies that manage significant domain portfolios, said Ben Crawford, CEO of CentralNic. With twenty years of development history, and a blue-chip customer base in the German-speaking countries, DomiNIC was earlier owned by Dominic GmbH. CentralNic s strategy in acquiring the software is to make it available globally in English and at least four other languages. Crawford added, We are already receiving excellent responses from potential customers, and are confident that DomiNIC will make a healthy contribution to our future profits. To manage the acquired business, CentralNic has appointed Marc McCutcheon as Manager to oversee the operations of the DomiNIC business and Luigi Turano as Business Development Manager of DomiNIC. Ealier, Mark spent seven years with leading corporate registrar and domain consultant NetNames (formerly Group NBT), whereas Luigi spent the last six years as an analyst and consultant with Accenture and Wipro. Beside these, CentralNic has also entered into a strategic alliance with German company DNSXperts as an outsource supplier of software development and support services for the DomiNIC software, enabling CentralNic to centered its own resources on rapidly growing the user base of DomiNIC via its global relationships and sales channels.
