Omnitel 4G network reaches four new cities [TeleGeography CommsUpdate]

(TeleGeography CommsUpdate Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Omnitel, Lithuania's largest mobile operator by subscribers, has expanded its 4G LTE network to the cities of Marijampole, Simnas, Kalvarija and Lazdijai. The TeliaSonera-owned operator's LTE network is available to more than 40% of the population; by the end of the year Omnitel is aiming to increase this to 50%, while also hoping to provide 3G coverage to the whole of the country.
