(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Idaho Public Utilities Commission Issues Order Regarding Application Of Dieca Communications, inc. DBA Covad Communications Company to Amend Its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 440 to Reflect Its Name Change to Megapath Corporation BOISE, Idaho, April 1 -- The Idaho Public Utilities Commission issued the following order: In January 2005, the Commission issued Order No. 29681 granting Covad Communications Company a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide local exchange and interexchange telecommunications services in Idaho. In January 2005, Certificate No. 440 was issued to Covad.



On June 8, 2012, Covad notified the Commission that it had changed the name under which it does business from Covad Communications Company to MegaPath Corporation.

MegaPath provided an Idaho Certificate of Authority from the Idaho Secretary of State's office. Based on its review of the Application, the Commission finds it appropriate to amend Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 440 to reflect the change from Covad Communications Company to MegaPath Corporation.


ORDER iT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 440 is amended to reflect the name change from Covad Communications Company to MegaPath Corporation.

THIS IS A FINAL ORDER. Any person interested in this Order may petition for reconsideration within twenty-one (21) days of the service date of this Order with regard to any matter decided in this Order in Case No. CVD-T-04-01. Within seven (7) days after any person has petitioned for reconsideration, any other person may cross-petition for reconsideration. See Idaho Code section 61-626 and 62-619.
