United States : GENBAND Names Bita Milanian SVP of Marketing Communications, Expanding Commitment to Global Brand Leadership [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) GENBAND, a leading developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, today announced that Bita Milanian has been named Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications reporting directly to the company s Chief Marketing Officer, Brad Bush.



Ms. Milanian has extensive marketing, branding and communication experience. She led marketing of the agent channel sales at TelePacific Communications, one of the largest competitive local exchange carriers in the US and was Marketing Director for the Media & Entertainment division of Global Crossing, the world's first integrated global IP-based network service provider. She began her career in telecom and technology at Justice Telecom Corporation as manager of international sales and director of customer service.

She most recently held the top post of Executive Director for the Farhang Foundation, a prominent non-profit based in Southern California. Having been a part of this organization since its early days, Ms. Milanian was responsible for all operations, finances, fund raising, programs, branding, marketing and events.


Bita brings to GENBAND a unique mix and depth of experience in branding, marketing services and solutions for groundbreaking service providers as well as from the arts, entertainment and non-profit worlds, said Mr. Bush. Her proven track record, enhanced by her most recent commitment to running the Farhang Foundation, brings a very creative and energetic addition to our leadership team. Ms. Milanian is the inaugural recipient of the LIPSTICK Award (leadership, integrity, passion, support, teaching, innovation, compassion and kicking it) from Women in the Channel. The grassroots organization is made up of women who are in leadership roles in the telecommunications industry. An active social media and public speaker, she was also featured on National Public Radio as part of the Women Digital Thinkers Tweet A Day in Their Lives. The segment featured women who are driving the rise of the technology sector in the US economy; and offered ways to encourage young women to consider computer science careers.

Ms. Milanian has also been an entrepreneur, establishing and building BMG Consulting (offering creative sales and marketing strategies and business development solutions), alongside Butterfly Buzz, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in helping artists excel and leap forward, offering hip, forward-thinking marketing, branding and public relations services.
