Association of Independent Information Professionals Announces Election Results

Incoming board members will formally accept their new positions on April 5 during the official business meeting of the association, at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor, Baltimore. The conference, to be held April 2-6, features educational programs, workshops, exhibits and training from vendor partners, high-profile speakers from outside the organization, and valuable networking opportunities for all attendees.

AIIP is a member-organized and -run professional association, and board members are all full members of the Association who volunteer their time and talents to lead the association. "Volunteering for AIIP has helped me build my business, introduced me to a generous and knowledgeable community of experts, and provided resources essential to servicing my clients," said incoming President-Elect June Boyle.


The newly elected board members include: President-Elect: June Boyle. Boyle owns and operates CeRCo Research & Consulting (http://www.cerco-research.com) in New York, NY. Boyle is a management consultant with 15 years of experience in information research. Her specialties are best practice research, benchmarking, and content analysis, with a focus on board and executive team effectiveness, CEO succession, leadership development, talent management, and organization design.

She is the outgoing chairperson of the Webinar Committee, has previously worked on and chaired the Volunteer and Leadership Development Committee, and in the past has volunteered time on the Elections and Marketing committees.

Director-at-Large, Membership: Michelle Rawl. Rawl owns Rawl Research, Inc. (http://www.rawlresearch.com) based in Kingston, NY, where she specializes in utilizing expert research tools and social media monitoring to determine tone and scope of press coverage for her clients as part of ongoing or ad-hoc business intelligence.

Rawl has served most recently as Program Co-Coordinator for the 2014 Annual Conference and volunteered on projects for membership recruitment and retention. She is working with incoming President-Elect June Boyle on strengthening regional groups of AIIP members for networking, business and social opportunities.

Director-at-Large, Marketing (Strategy + Content): Jennifer Burke Burke owns IntelliCraft Research LLC (http://www.intellicraftresearch.com), based in Quakertown, PA. She uses her unique background of training and experience as a marketing executive as well as library and information science research, along with customer service, sales and academic research to assist clients. Her current business research focuses on marketing intelligence for new business development opportunities. She provides strategic marketing consulting for libraries and other info pros.

Burke has recently served on the Webinar and Marketing Committees as well as worked on several ad-hoc communications projects for the Association, including its newly redesigned Marketing Opportunities Guide. She is a frequent contributor to AIIP Connections and was the 2013 recipient of AIIP's Myra T. Grenier Award for aspiring information professionals.
