Cimon, Inc. Announces UltimateAccess™ SCADA Product Family Offering Multi-Platform Control & Visualization from Virtually Any Client

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

Cimon, Inc. - a global supplier of industrial automation products, including operator interface terminals (OIT), programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software for both the process industries and discrete manufacturing operations - today introduced its UltimateAccess™ family of SCADA software products.

The new Cimon products give automation and control users the ability to access and interact with their control platforms from any place and at any time - all from virtually any user access point, including network, web-based and mobile devices, explained Gary Wilson, vice president of global sales and marketing.

"UltimateAccess along with our other products give any industrial automation client a full range of capabilities to securely monitor and control operations from anywhere, whether it's a single staffer working remotely via a smartphone, plant floor operators on a production line or executive management concerned with efficiency of production management," Wilson said. "We provide everything a user would need, from high performance PLCs to panel computers, touch panels and all-in-one hybrid hardware and software devices.

"All products are easy to use and run on multiple device platforms, including network access, browser interaction via the Internet and client apps that run on iOS and Android (News - Alert) tablets nd smartphones," Wilson added. "Best of all, our UltimateAccess solutions are priced to be flexible and inexpensive compared to existing systems."

The Cimon product family includes:

  • Cimon-PLCs, ranging from micro controllers to large networked/redundant enterprise systems;
  • Cimon Touch, a high performance industrial panel PC bundled with UltimateAccess SCADA software;
  • Cimon Xpanel, a high definition touch panel OIT;
  • Cimon Hybrid, an all-in-one touch display solution with an advanced micro PLC integrated with Cimon HMI software;
  • Cimon's new UltimateAccess SCADA software.

The UltimateAccess SCADA server runs on standard Microsoft (News - Alert)® Windows™-class hardware under either the Windows 7 or Windows 8 64-bit operating systems. The software clients can run as a traditional fat client or as a thin client that runs in an optimized browser window or on Internet Explorer, with ActiveX objects. The Cimon packages include unlimited tag (News - Alert) databases and device drivers for connecting to a broad range of input/output (I/O) devices. An extensive array of scripting languages is available and a complete library of graphical objects is provided for configuring virtually any industrial control application. Applications are provided for alarms, security, data logging, ODBC for data logging and more.

The Cimon product family will be on display for the first time at the American High Tech Distributors (AHTD) Association conference and exposition in Lexington, KY, April 8-9. It will subsequently be shown at the Automation Technology Expos (ATX) in Charlotte, NC (April 15-16), in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (April 29-30) and in Dallas, TX (May 7-8).

Pricing and licensing for the new products have been designed for simplicity and convenience as well:

  • Single user: $1,995
  • 2-5 users: $4,995
  • 6-10 users: $7,495
  • Unlimited users: $10,995

"In addition to this cost-effective end user licensing and pricing, we've also simplified use for system integrators," Wilson noted. "We offer the software for free and have eliminated the need for SI keys. System integrators can go to our website, download the software and begin developing customer application projects. They simply have to reboot the application every four hours but they can immediately do real production work."
