Acentia's Senior Director Simon Godwin Appointed an ACT-IAC Partner [Professional Services Close - Up]

(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Acentia, a provider of technology and management solutions, announced that Simon Godwin, Senior Director, Strategy and Solutions, has been selected as one of 16 industry members in the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT- IAC) 2014 Partners Program.

According to a release, the ACT-IAC Partners Program is an executive leadership development program that selectively pairs 16 government and 16 industry professionals for a 9-month period to collectively partner and prepare for future roles at the SES and CXO levels. The program allows an open and trusted partnership between government and industry professionals. Program participants are nominated by their respective company or agency sponsors and then selected by a panel of senior executives from government and industry. Selection for the program is very competitive and is based on both quantitative and qualitative accomplishments.

"I'm really excited to be part of the 2014 ACT-IAC Partners Program," Godwin said. "The Partners Program provides a great opportunity for government and industry to collaborate and learn from each other as we look for new and innovative ways to address mission-critical problems. By collaborating, we will prepare for the challenges presented by Cloud, Big Data, Analytics, and Mobile." The company noted that Godwin, who joined Acentia in 2012, plays an integral role in creating and overseeing Acentia's Centers of Excellence (COEs) and developing its customer-facing service offerings-tackling the toughest challenges the government is facing. He has more than 20 years of experience developing strategies and solutions, leading and growing teams, and solving customers' most pressing mission-critical problems.

"We are very proud that Simon has been selected to this highly competitive, flagship executive development program," said Acentia Chief Architect Tom Woteki, PhD. "He is a perfect fit for the ACT- IAC Partners program. Simon's friendly and innovative approach to solving our customers' most complex challenges will be a great asset as this exceptional team of leaders work to more closely align the government and private sector."
