Tyfone Appoints Former Rear Admiral Nicholas Kalathas as Consulting Advisor for Government and Healthcare Sectors

Tyfone (www.tyfone.com), a cyber and mobile secure ID and secure transaction solutions provider, today announces the appointment of retired Rear Admiral Nicholas Kalathas as a consulting advisor. As a flag officer, Rear Admiral Kalathas served as the senior logistician for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and commanded the CENTCOM-Joint Theater Support Contracting Command where he oversaw $20 billion of contracts for services, construction and supplies in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to earning the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit and other awards, he was a member of the Navy Acquisition Professional Community and held a Level III certification in Contracting. At the time of his retirement, he was responsible for Contingency Contracting Policy within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He retired after 30 years of military service in 2013.
