IN THE NEWS: TECHNOLOGY TURNS UP SOME ANSWERSS IN MISSING JET SAGA KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) _ So far no one knows the answer to the question ``where is it?'' But technology is trying to provide some of the pieces to the puzzle of what happened to that missing Malaysia Airlines flight. The plane has been gone for more than a week now _ disappearing from radar during an overnight flight with a 12-person crew and 227 passengers. Satellite data suggest the plane flew for at least 7 1/2 hours after radar lost track of it. And experts say whoever disabled the plane's communication systems and then flew the jet must have had a high degree of technical knowledge and flying experience. Authorities believe the plane was deliberately diverted _ with piracy, hijacking or possible pilot suicide among the possible scenarios.

The U.S. wants to be out of the Internet naming business by September, 2015. Proposals for a new ICANN stewardship will be accepted beginning next week at a conference in Singapore.
