NCB files charge sheet against Vardhan, two others [Mumbai] [Times of India](Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against Anant Vardhan and his two staff members who were arrested in January with 4.5gm cocaine from a hotel. The chargesheet submitted before a special court has listed seven witnesses in the case. Besides Vardhan, his bodyguard Dilip Palekar and peon Dharmu Rathod have been named as co accused in the case. The NCB said that they were looking for two drug peddlers who allegedly supplied cocaine to Vardhan. The case relates to a raid on January 7, 2014 by the the IT department in a five star hotel room where Vardhan was staying. The IT department allegedly found contraband and alreted the NCB which arrested Vardhan on January 11. A special NDPS court on January 18 granted conditional cash bail to Vardhan of Rs 1.5 lakh.
