Infor Announces Update to Infor Approva Continuous Monitoring

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW YOR, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 03/12/14 -- Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced the availability of Infor Approva Continuous Monitoring 10.0.2, a leading application that delivers tools to execute repeatable and reliable processes to meet the control aspects of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). Infor Approva Continuous Monitoring provides holistic views of data and user access across multiple business environments, so organizations get the visibility and access needed to minimize risk of noncompliance and security breaches. Available globally, and critical to Retail, Service, Healthcare, Public Sector and Manufacturing industries, this release delivers two additional product modules with improved analysis and performance capabilities.

Modules added to Infor Approva Continuous Monitoring 10.0.2 include the General Ledger Insights, which automates controls monitoring for the General Ledger process by integrating with business applications using Infor ION technology. This module also flags unusual journal entries, inappropriate changes to the chart of accounts, and high-risk configurations that directly affect financial statements, to help an organization gain confidence in its general ledger, accounting, and financial close process. The second update is Payroll Insight, which monitors payroll data and transactions for control breakdowns and discrepancies, helps organizations gain visibility and oversight into employee, deduction, time and payment data, which, in turn, helps protect against inadvertent errors, omissions, and policy non-compliance.

In addition, feature enhancements in this product release include improved flexibility, from better ability to start, stop and restart data extractions, improved ability to change connection settings to address server reassignments, improved rule building designed to reduce unwarranted error conditions, improved reporting and task management, and guidance for execution in virtualized environments.

Infor Approva applications automatically identify exceptions and control breakdowns at the time they occur, providing instant and reliable financial assurance to corporate stakeholders. Through enhanced monitoring functionality, Infor Approva detects, remediates, and prevents segregation of duty (SoD) conflicts, inappropriate access, and user activity. Users can reduce risk, automate compliance obligations, and eliminate waste.

"Many organizations spend countless amounts of dollars developing and documenting their processes, policies and controls, yet have limited visibility into whether or not they are being followed or if they are effective," said Diane Johnson, industry and solution strategy director, Infor. "We continue to innovate and update our Infor Approva Continuous Monitoring solution because it helps our customers find and correct issues immediately, which is critical to remaining competitive in the marketplace -- ultimately reducing risk, automating compliance obligations, and eliminating waste."
