DOCOMO's "mobidoors" JV to Sell Remote Support Solutions outside Japan(JCN Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tokyo, Mar 12, 2014 - (JCN Newswire) - NTT DOCOMO, INC., a personalized mobile solutions provider for smarter living, announced today that in partnership with RSUPPORT Co., Ltd. and OrangeOne Corporation, both providers of remote support solutions, it will establish a joint venture company named mobidoors to sell customer care and other remote support solutions to mobile network operators and mobile phone manufacturers outside Japan. The company will launch on March 25.The joint venture will pursue opportunities for remote solutions outside of Japan by leveraging RSUPPORT's technical expertise, OrangeOne's system management knowhow and DOCOMO's experience in providing customer support and relationship with overseas mobile network operators and mobile phone manufacturers. In addition to selling remote operation and support solutions for smartphone users, the company will provide operational and maintenance support for solution systems. It also will sell RSUPPORT products.NTT DOCOMO will hold a 55 percent stake, RSUPPORT will own 40 percent and OrangeOne 5 percent. The company will be headed by President Yuji Araki and will start with a staff of eight.RSUPPORT is the developer of Smartphone Anshin Remote Support, DOCOMO's premier customer care service, which enables operators to provide remote support by performing operations on a shared screen to help users operate and configure their smartphones.
