Exablox Announces New Partner Program Offering Initial and Recurring Revenue Streams

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/11/14 -- Exablox®, the company reimagining storage, today officially launched its channel partner program, making its award winning OneBlox®, a scale-out storage appliance, and its secure, multi-tenant, cloud-based OneSystem® management service immediately available for purchase by qualified channel partners. The program formalizes Exablox's 100-percent-channel go-to-market strategy. For the first time, the channel will now be able to deliver to the mid-market affordable, on-premises, scale-out storage with leading-edge enterprise features including inline deduplication, continuous data protection and zero-configuration storage expansion.

"With its OneBlox and OneSystem, Exablox has taken many of the concepts born in the cloud and made it easy for small-to-medium enterprises to now take advantage of the benefits that were once only available to large enterprises," said Steve Ichinaga, senior vice president and general manager of systems at Exablox's exclusive distributor, SYNNEX Corporation.

Exablox's channel program is dedicated to supporting and enabling partners that focus on the mid-market across vertical industries. The company is investing heavily in the channel and is committed to helping its partners through joint marketing efforts, co-branding, sales and support. Exablox is eliminating licensing complexity by offering only a handful of stock keeping units (SKUs) for the channel to transact. OneBlox and OneSystem do not require specialized product and licensing training, saving partners time and money on travel and leaving more time to spend selling.

OneSystem is a multi-tenant solution, making it ideal for managed service providers (MSP) that would like to offer services to medium-sized companies. OneSystem makes it easy for MSPs to offer any combination of managed storage, managed backup and disaster recovery. Within the program, Exablox enables partners to utilize its built-in proactive monitoring, reporting and management capabilities, which provide visibility into their customers' environments and the ability to diagnose and fix problems, often before the customer is ever aware there was an issue.

Ezra Hookano, who joined the company in January as Exablox's vice president of sales, will lead the partner program. Prior to joining Exablox, Hookano built successful channel programs at Fusion-io and Barracuda from the ground up to sales of more than $200 million. Hookano will report to CEO Douglas Brockett, who helped propel SonicWALL's channel program to hundreds of millions of dollars. With the experience and success of Hookano and Brockett, Exablox will make available every opportunity for success to its channel partners, offering initial sales revenue and recurring revenue on software subscriptions. Exablox will also offer as much sales support as necessary, including the facilitation of renewals and upsells, with its 100-percent channel strategy.

"I've been working with VARs and end users for the past 20 years and recognize the struggle many mid-size enterprises are experiencing as they attempt to keep up with their applications and storage demands," said Hookano. "Currently, companies have to choose between very expensive storage that requires forklift upgrades and complex installation and management, or inexpensive storage solutions without the software features they require. We look forward to partnering with VARs, MSPs, resellers and distributors that are passionate about storage and to helping to fill the void in the storage market with our scale-out enterprise-class storage that's affordable to the mid-market." With zero configuration for nearly every storage task, OneBlox delivers a flexible, plug-and-play storage appliance that enables organizations to scale performance, capacity and availability non-disruptively. Exablox's BYOD strategy enables customers to purchase any industry-standard SAS or SATA disk drive through the channel and use them within OneBlox, driving pricing down by a factor of 10. Exablox's BYOD strategy is further complemented by OneSystem, a multi-tenant cloud-based management service that offers a simple four-step configuration for remote storage replication and real-time monitoring and reporting of OneBlox. With enterprise features such as a global file system, inline deduplication, continuous data protection and encryption enabled by default, OneSystem minimizes storage waste and enables organizations to maximize storage utilization at a fraction of the cost.

Exablox is currently offering a free 30-day trial of OneBlox to organizations through its channel partners.
