Verizon Wireless Selects Samsung LTE Solutions for Indoor Use

Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile) has been selected to supply indoor LTE solutions for Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless, one of the world's leading providers of mobile communications services. As part of this agreement, Samsung Mobile will deliver a comprehensive and scalable LTE solution to Verizon Wireless (News - Alert), including femtocells, plus core network elements and a complete element management system.

Verizon Wireless will deploy Samsung (News - Alert) Mobile's innovative femtocell solution later this year as part of a seamless LTE experience for customers in indoor environments. Femtocells provide coverage in specific areas and each can provide more than 60 simultaneous connections to the LTE (News - Alert) network. The Samsung solution will also be offered to help enhance in-building coverage for enterprise customers, enabling the voice and data solutions on which many businesses rely.
