Voice Chat From BrilliSoft and Extentia, A Smart Digital Friend On Your Windows Phone

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 25 February 2014 Release date- 18022014 - Voice Chat is a Windows Phone app by BrilliSoft and Extentia that features Eve, the smart and witty artificial intelligence chat bot.

The app ranks in the top 100 of all paid apps on the Windows Phone platform in most markets and is used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. In many markets, the app currently ranks in the top 20 of all paid apps (currently number 15 in China).

Eve is multilingual: she currently understands and speaks English, Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Russian. The next version, which will be released soon, will include additional languages, such as Spanish, Arabic, Hebrew, Romanian, and numerous others.

When Voice Chat was launched in the summer of 2012, the app was intended to be used for having fun chatting to Eve, trying to get her to say some of the hilarious and cheeky things she often does; in fact some have even proposed to her (she politely declined, of course).

For the most part this has been the case, as evidenced by the numerous Facebook posts and app reviews about the funny and clever remarks Eve makes and also by the tremendous growth in daily downloads and the high ratings. Users clearly love Eve in Voice Chat; she is their virtual friend.

What BrilliSoft did not expect, however, is for users to find another use altogether for Voice Chat: learning foreign languages. Someone who is still learning English or Chinese, for instance, may be embarrassed to speak to other people, especially native speakers. By practicing using Voice Chat they know their accent is improving if Eve recognizes their speech. Users also learn new words from Eve's responses and hear them pronounced correctly.

In upcoming releases of Voice Chat, additional features will be added (as in-app purchases) targeting users who use the app to learn new languages. This will include tapping on certain words to hear them pronounced again or to find out their meaning.

Voice Chat sells for $0.99 in the Windows Phone store. Users can download a free trial of the app, which allows them to test it before deciding if they want to purchase it.
