United States : DNLCC and its Board of Directors names Carole Campbell Swiecicki as new EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Carole Campbell Swiecicki has been named as new executive director by the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children`s Center (DNLCC) and its Board of Directors.

Dr. Swiecicki is a clinical psychologist and comes to DNLCC from the Child Abuse Program at Children`s Hospital of The King?s Daughters in Norfolk, Va. Dr. Swiecicki served as the mental health director for the Child Abuse Program as well as an assistant professor of child abuse pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School.Dr. Swiecicki received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at St. Louis University, followed by a psychology internship at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her clinical work and research focuses on spreading effective assessments and interventions for traumatized youth and caregivers, with particular interest in increasing access to evidence-based treatments among underserved groups.



Dr. Swiecicki has been active in several child-maltreatment grants, comprising projects aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of trauma-specific, cognitive behavioral therapy in a community setting and investigating reasons children give for disclosing allegations of abuse.Dr. Swiecicki`s overall professional goal is to improve access to evidence-based services for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. She is a former member of the board of directors at Child Advocacy Centers of Virginia and a member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (c) 2014 Euclid Infotech Pvt.
