Bromium Expands Security Ecosystem with Palo Alto Networks Integration

Bromium^®, Inc., a pioneer in trustworthy computing, today announced integration efforts between Bromium Live Attack Visualization and Analysis (LAVA™) and the Palo Alto (News - Alert) Networks security platform. The integration will combine both technologies to provide automated malware response, protecting the enterprise using advanced endpoint and network-wide defenses.

Using Bromium and Palo Alto Networks together will enable organizations to automatically block malicious websites. It will also mitigate the risk of data theft by blocking stealthy hacker command and control channels detected by Bromium LAVA from access by systems within the protected network. Once Bromium detects advanced malware it will then provide detailed information about the attack source to the Palo Alto Networks security platform in real time, via Bromium LAVA. Based on pre-determined policies, automated actions are then performed, such as alerting the administrator, blocking dditional access to malicious sites and blocking outbound communications to command and control sites.

Providing a comprehensive and accurate view of malware behavior in real-time, LAVA is a centralized security application that works in conjunction with Bromium vSentry^®. LAVA gathers and provides immediate analysis of each hardware-isolated malware attack occurring within an enterprise, providing detailed insight into an attack's origin, techniques and targets while delivering immediate, actionable security intelligence and enabling enterprise security teams to safely analyze threats.
