United States : Infor Expands Public Sector Focus to Federal Government [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced a comprehensive model of enterprise applications and technology solutions that are geared towards the Federal Government. The new suite for federal government expands Infor's reach in the public sector, where the company has thousands of customers at the local, regional and state level. Infor is currently working with approximately 300 customer organizations that function within federal government. To lead this initiative, Infor has hired industry veteran, Wayne Bobby, as vice president for Infor's Federal government solutions.

"In the past few years, Infor has gained considerable ground in the industry by deploying our solutions in countless regional and local government organizations around the world. This expansion to focus our offerings to better meet the needs of the Federal government is a natural progression for our organization," said Kevin Curry, senior vice president, Public Sector, Infor. "By hiring Wayne Bobby, we have secured a proven leader who will enable us to quickly grow our Federal objectives." Infor offers a diverse solutions suite for Federal government organizations that includes both large-scale and right-sized solutions that are designed to be compliant with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). The wide array of solutions includes large-scale deployments such as Infor Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), which monitors federal facilities to ensure optimal performance. Infor EAM provides tools to pre-emptively monitor maintenance and energy efficiencies, helping to drive long-term budgetary savings.

Right sized tools such as Infor Approva Continuous Monitoring provide audit readiness, enabling agencies to prepare for inspections and more easily meet reporting requirements. Infor Enterprise Financial Management, Human Resources Management and Public Sector CRM help improve the efficiency of government employees and manage the transactional level of government.

The addition of Wayne Bobby to Infor's executive leadership team marks yet another strategic progression for the Federal growth initiative. The former Oracle executive has deep roots in both the Federal government and technology industry. Prior to his work in the private sector, Bobby served for more than 16 years as a director of financial management services for the U.S. Department of State. His array of industry knowledge and business experience provides Infor with essential guidance to manage this strategic expansion. In 1989, Bobby earned his MBA from the George Washington University, located in the center of Washington D.C.
