MTS Connects to iBasis' Multiservice IPX for GRX, 2G/3G and LTE RoamingBURLINGTON, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- iBasis, a KPN company, announced that MTS (News - Alert) (OJSC Mobile TeleSystems), the leading telecommunications provider in Russia and the CIS, has selected iBasis as the primary provider of IPX services to enable LTE (News - Alert) Roaming, as a result of an open tender process. Through the IPX interconnect, iBasis is providing multiple services including GRX, covering both 2G/3G and LTE data roaming, as well as the iBasis (News - Alert) LTE Signaling Exchange (LSX) service for the exchange of Diameter signaling between LTE networks. The multiservice nature of the iBasis IPX and its rich suite of voice and data services paves the way for MTS to offer its subscribers the full range of LTE roaming services.
