Fracas arises over modem, weed [The Pueblo Chieftain, Colo. :: ]

(Pueblo Chieftain (CO) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 24--A woman was arrested Wednesday morning for allegedly swinging a metal bar at her boyfriend after she got upset because he turned off their Internet modem.

According to an arrest affidavit, police responded to the home they share on the 1500 block of Pine Street at about 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The man told police that on Tuesday night Crystal Meadows, 31, got upset because he shut off their Internet modem.

The man said he turned it off because she was not helping with paying the bills and an argument ensued.

On Wednesday morning the two began arguing again, this time over the man's medical marijuana. The man said he has a medical marijuana license and couldn't find his marijuana when he woke up and accused Meadows of hiding it because of what happened with the Internet modem.

The man told police he threw one of her shirts into the backyard and Meadows walked into the backyard to retrieve it.

The man locked her outside of the house for a while.

After some time had passed, the man opened the door and began arguing with Meadows again.

According to the arrest affidavit, Meadows then picked up a metal bar outside that belonged to a bed and ran toward the door and swung the bar at him. Meadows missed and hit the door instead.

The man took video of the whole incident, which police reviewed.

Meadows was arrested on suspicion of menacing and domestic violence.

She was being held at Pueblo County jail without chance for bail pending a court appearance.
