Research and Markets: Distribution of Medicines - The New EU Good Distribution Practice Guide...Are You Prepared? (Seminar, London)
DUBLIN --(Business Wire)--
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/kwqd2l/distribution_of)
has announced the addition of the "Distribution
of Medicines - The New EU Good Distribution Practice Guide...Are You
Prepared? (Seminar, London)" conference to their offering.
The Distribution of Medicines Seminar will be taking place on the 17th &
18th March 2014 at the Rembrandt Hotel, London
This two day seminar has been designed to bring delegates up-to-date
with the current regulatory thinking and standards for Good Distribution
Practice (GDP).
The course will provide practical guidance on how to perform gap
analysis, prepare plans for implementing systems and procedures to bring
your organisation into compliance with the new regulations.
The Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles for the Manufacture,
Packaging and Storage of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Medicinal
Products are well defined and interpreted by means of Regulations,
Guidance and European Regulators. There are however, only a limited
number of documents that provide guidance on methods to achieve GMP -
compliant shipping of Medicinal Products.
Nevertheles, the Globalised Pharmaceutical Supply Chain has delivered
cost savings through rationalisation whilst it has created new
challenges on how to control the temperature conditions for the products
on route.
The recent recall of over 100 batches in the UK due to exposure to
temperatures beyond 50 degrees C, gives strong evidence of the need for
more attention to the risk in the Global Supply Chain. In 2010 WHO
circulated their revised document for comments: Good Distribution
Practices (GDP) for Pharmaceutical Products. The EU GDP guidelines have
been extensively revised and published in July 2013 and have been
effective since last September - do you think you are compliant with the
new requirements?
This two day course provides you with tools and guidance to help you
identify the gaps in your quality systems compared to the new
requirements and plan the mitigation actions required. The programme
will include:
