Daanish School Authority approves rules, regulations(Nation (Pakistan) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Daanish Schools Authority in a meeting on Friday formally approved rules and regulations for auditing, procurement, administration, accounting and manual for human resource. The meeting was presided over by Minister for Education Rana Manshood Ahmad Khan. The meeting constituted a core group having the powers of taking important decisions of immediate nature. The meeting also gave approval to reconstituting governing body of every Daanish School. Members of the Authority unanimously supported to adopt a standard operational procedure that if those members of the governing body of any Daanish School who fail to attend three consecutive meetings, will be removed from the membership of the governing body and in their place an educationist, industrialist or social worker from local people will be nominated as new member of governing body. The meeting thanked Chief Minister for allotting a total of seven thousand acres fertile government land in 30 various areas of the province as a chairman of Punjab Daanish School Authority. Every Daanish School will be able to bear the expenses required for upgrading it to university level from the income to be generated through this fertile land. The meeting constituted a sub-committee headed by honorary Managing Director of the Authority Prof Zafar Iabal Qureshi, which will identify seven thousand acres land in consultation with Revenue Department and finalise necessary arrangements for giving it to the tenants for cultivation. The meeting was told that Punjab government has allocated a total sum of Rs764 million for the development works of Daanish Schools throughout the province. |
