Tadiran Telecom's Aeonix Solution Receives Acme Security ApprovalPETACH TIKVA, Israel, November 21, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Tadiran Telecom, a global leader, innovator, and supplier of software solutions, today announced its Aeonix solution has received Oracle's Acme Packet's Technical Certification, meeting the highest standards for session border control security and authentication. Aeonix R2, which was released to the market earlier this year, is Tadiran's flagship Unified Communications & Collaboration (UC&C) solution. It is designed for distributed environments and can support up to 25,000 users with enhanced Active high availability capabilities and built in Contact Center and Dispatch Console applications. The added compatibility with the Acme Packet provides Aeonix users with the market leader in VOIP firewalls, protecting their calls and data transfers for both regular VOIP calls and video calls. The certification was granted to Aeonix following extensive mutual testing and configuration carried out earlier this year, but required no alterations in the Aeonix solution. Purchased by Oracle earlier in 2013, the Acme Packet provides added security for VOIP communications in three key ways. First, it provides protection of Denial Of Service (DoS) attacks; secondly, it encrypts signaling and media communications, and finally it provides dual authentication by signed certificates, whereby the server acts to ensure that both the incoming and receiving callers' servers are securely identified and authenticated. In addition to the added security, the Acme Packet will provide Aeonix users with added Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal functionality for remote calls and conferencing, so that agents and employees on the server can be in constant communication when on the road or working remotely.
