(NASDAQ: PKT) reported it has joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), a non-profit partnership that to minimize the availability of online child sexual abuse images and videos. IWF helps Internet service providers and hosting companies combat the abuse of their networks through its "notice and takedown" service which alerts them to child sexual abuse content for removal. Using the IWF's alerts, Procera's ContentLogic and PacketLogic solutions enable service providers to comply with regulations in over 60 countries, and provide a safer experience for children and broadband consumers worldwide. Procera incorporates the IWF's list of known child sexual abuse URLs into its database updates, preventing end users from stumbling across known images of child sexual abuse online. Procera's ContentLogic solution is capable of correlating the categories of content consumed by broadband subscribers for up to 100m URLs with minimal performance impact to any of the PacketLogic Real-Time Enforcement (PRE) systems. ContentLogic determines the categories of content being accessed and compares that to daily updated lists of sites known for hosting objectionable content, while the PRE performs the filtering and enforcement required.
