UNSi partners with RapidScale to launch cloud services

Sep 17, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) -- United Network Services, Inc., or UNSi, a provider of Voice & Data Carrier, Internet and private networking solutions, has launched an array of cloud services through its partnership with RapidScale, an emerging cloud application provider.

The suite of Cloud services all ride over UNSi's comprehensive MPLS network platform providing Quality of Services (QoS) for hosted cloud applications. UNSi's new Cloud offering is supported by CloudMPLS with CloudServer, CloudDesktop, CloudMail, CloudRecovery and CloudOffice, all on a single network.

The partnership between RapidScale and UNSi offers an efficient solution in delivering business applications to the cloud via UNSi's private and secure MPLS network, providing a high-performance solution for businesses that depend on Quality of Service (QoS). As cloud applications are becoming the main theme for businesses these days, the delivery of applications and information to the cloud is imperative, therefore making QoS a key differentiator.

"We are thrilled to leverage our MPLS network platform in partnering with RapidScale to provide Cloud Services to our agents and direct customers, ensuring QoS in cloud application delivery," stated Stephen John, SVP & Chief Revenue Officer for UNSi. "The partnership brings a solution to the market that focuses on application performance, latency and packet loss as well as up-time," added Mr John.

"As the cloud grows so does the need to be the best at application delivery, which is what we are focused on with CloudMPLS and our strategic partnership with UNSi. Especially with the advent of tablets, the natural market transition will be to use the tablet as your personal and business computer, which includes line of business applications," stated Randy Jeter, Co-founder & CEO of RapidScale.
