Yulong Coolpad unveils new Android-based TD-SCDMA and WCDMA smartphones


Aug 26, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) -- Marvell Technology Group Ltd., a fabless semiconductor provider, has announced that Yulong Coolpad launched a new Android-based Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access, or TD-SCDMA, and Wideband Code Division Multiple Access, or WCDMA, smartphones for China Mobile and China Unicom, powered by the Marvell ARMADA Mobile unified quad-core single-chip solution.



Yulong Coolpad's newest smartphones the latest of a growing list of mobile devices powered by Marvell's ARMADA Mobile unified 3G and LTE platformfeature the ARMADA Mobile PXA1088 quad-core single-chip solution. Yulong Coolpad's mid-high-end 5.5-inch full HD 8750, affordable 5-inch HD 8720Q and 4.5-inch 7269 are designed to provide cost-effective, high-performance mobile computing with cutting-edge graphics and gaming capabilities, the company said.

The highly integrated and power efficient PXA1088 System-on-Chip (SoC) combines a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 application processor with field-proven 3G cellular modems including High Speed Packet Access Plus (HSPA+), Time Division High Speed Packet Access Plus (TD-HSPA+) and Enhanced Data for GSM Environment (EDGE) and Marvell's cutting-edge Avastar 88W8787 dual-band wireless solution, as well as its L1000 GPS Hybrid Location Processor.

Features of Coolpad 7269 include: WCDMA; 4.5-inch 854x480 screen; 4G ROM + 512M RAM memory; 1700 mAh battery; 5 megapixel camera; Android 4.2 System; 21 Mbps High-Speed Downlink Packet Access; 5.76 Mbps High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA); and Dual SIM cards dual standby (WCDMA+GSM).
