[June 28, 2013] Sansay Introduces WebRTC Solutions Tweet Jun 28, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Sansay announced a next-generation session border controller (SBC) and developer program designed to help telcos, VoIP providers and other companies target that customer base by creating enterprise- and carrier-grade WebRTC applications and services. According to a release, Sansay's WebSBC architecture delivers a carrier-class Media Engine and highly scalable WebRTC-SIP interconnect for revenue-generating WebRTC applications within service provider networks. WebSBC also eliminates the complexity and expense of dedicated WebRTC-SIP gateways and heavyweight browser clients with embedded SIP stacks. Instead, WebSBC encapsulates both functions into the application layer via the Rapid development environment. Sansay said WebSBC is an evolution of the VSXi SBC, which more than 350 service providers worldwide currently rely on to maximize the performance, profitability and growth of their VoIP networks and services. WebSBC is available now for evaluation in both service provider hosted and platform-as-a service (PaaS) models. Sansay's new Real-Time App Developer (RAPID) program minimizes the time to market for creating and deploying WebRTC apps for both service provider and enterprise markets. Currently available as a preview, RAPID includes a Restful Web API for WebRTC media plane control and WebRTC-SIP interconnect, sample app articles and a developer Q&A forum. Access to the RAPID preview is available now at developer.sansay.com. Developers also can request access to the WebSBC cloud for app testing, ensuring a user experience for their customers from the initial day of deployment.
