[June 19, 2013] BRIEF: Potbellied robber in hard hat pulls off credit-union heist after shoving customer Tweet Jun 19, 2013 (Orlando Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Authorities today released surveillance images of an armed man with a potbelly who robbed a credit union in east Orange County last week while wearing a hard hat. The robbery happened at 3:40 p.m. Friday at Fairwinds Credit Union, 3133 N. Alafaya Trail. "He shoved a customer out of the way and demanded money from the clerk," the Orange County Sheriff's Office said in a report. "He brandished a handgun. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen heading northwest." Authorities are asking the public for information about the robber and the person who was shoved during the 32-second heist. The robber was described as being in his 40s with a medium build and a pot belly. During the robbery, he was wearing a "blue, long-sleeve collared shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, black gloves, blue surgical mask, black sunglasses and a white construction hat with duct tape over the front and back," the report said.
