Hunt begins for Coalition's NBN chief

Jun 17, 2013 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- If elected in the 14 September 2013 federal poll, the Coalition will require the management of NBN Co to carry out a strategic review. The senior executives at the entity in charge of rolling out the Federal Government's national broadband network, including CEO Mike Quigley, are also likely to be replaced. Quigley's successor could come from the ranks of telco Telstra, in the shape of Greg Adcock or Stuart Lee. Another candidate is former NBN Co construction arm leader Patrick Flannagan. In other NBN Co news, new chair Siobhan McKenna has been shown how to splice fibre optics cables, as this is a crucial issue for the roll-out.
