ASUS unveils new GeForce GTX 780 graphics cardJun 17, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- ASUSTeK Computer Inc., or ASUS, a computer hardware and electronics company, has unveiled the GeForce GTX 780 graphics card, featuring the 28nm NVIDIA GK 110-300 GPU with 2304 CUDA cores and 3GB GDDR5 on a 384-bit memory interface. The core is clocked at 902MHz, while the video memory runs a 6008MHz frequency. It supports TXAA and FXAA advanced anti-aliasing for better image quality and sharper game graphics. The exclusive ASUS GPU Tweak utility has been updated to fully tap the power of the GeForce GTX 780. Through an intuitive graphical interface, it allows users to modify core and memory speeds, fan RPMs, and temperature and power consumption targets. Performance profiles for specific games can also be saved and quickly changed. Following the debut of GPU Boost technology on GeForce GTX 600 series graphics cards, GPU Boost 2.0 adds more features to smart core clock frequency modulation. Based on application and load, the GPU reportedly changes core clocks to maximize performance and energy efficiency. GPU Boost 2.0 adds support for temperature threshold presets, increased overvolting, and liquid cooling setups, the company added. http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
