AirPatrol Corporation Chosen to Fulfill SOCOM's Mobility and Wireless Threat Management Requirement

Columbia, MD, Jun 17, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Moving to increase cybersecurity and mobile security policy enforcement within the nation's military installations, the multi-building campus at US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) headquarters in Tampa, FL will be equipped with a device monitoring and management security system known as ZoneDefense LT from Columbia, MD-based AirPatrol Corporation. The ZoneDefense system monitors mobile devices on cellular and wireless. Under the terms of the contract, AirPatrol partners Alvarez & Associates and SENGEX, LLC will be responsible for ZoneDefense installation.

ZoneDefense LT is the only solution available that is able to monitor and detect all wifi and cellular devices on a single console. With zone-based alerts and precise indoor locationing, the AirPatrol sensors are able to find any transmitting device.

"The SOCOM award is evidence that government is prioritizing mobility during the growing need for cybersecurity," said Cleve Adams, CEO of AirPatrol. "Through partnerships with Alvarez and Associates and SENGEX, AirPatrol's ZoneDefense LT solution is able to provide mobile and wireless threat management, an important part of a complete cybersecurity plan." Awarded through SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement), a multi-award GWAC (Government-Wide Acquisition Contract) vehicle that concentrates on IT products and product based services, SENGEX was selected as the VAR (Value-Added Reseller) and Services vendor to Alvarez and Associates.
