American Banker and Bank Technology News and IDC Financial Insights Seeks Submissions for FinTech RankingsJun 17, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- American Banker and Bank Technology News and IDC Financial Insights, a research and advisory services firm, are now accepting submissions for the 10th annual FinTech 100 and FinTech Enterprise 25 rankings. According to a release, companies wishing to be considered for this year's ranking can apply online by June 28. Technology providers that derive more than one-third of their total global revenue from the financial services industry are eligible for the FinTech 100 rankings. Eligible companies are ranked by the amount of revenue they generated from their financial services clients in the preceding calendar year. The FinTech Enterprise 25 list is comprised of leading horizontal technology firms for which financial services industry revenues represent less than one-third of total revenues. The data used to compile the rankings are verified through interviews and analyses conducted by IDC Financial Insights. The rankings will be published by American Banker and Bank Technology News as a special report in November and the ranked companies will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony during the annual BAI Retail Delivery Conference and Expo in Denver held on Nov. 5-7. The report will include detailed rankings of hardware, software, and services suppliers to the financial services industry, along with expert analysis. BAI is a promotional partner. "We are thrilled to again be spearheading the FinTech 100 and Enterprise 25," said Karen Massey, senior analyst at IDC Financial Insights. "The FinTech 100 is clearly the 'Who's Who' of FinTech providers and has evolved over the past decade into a true global representation of the most successful technology providers to the financial services industry." "Widespread deployment adoption of mobile features, the rapid emergence of new security and branch technologies, and intense merger and acquisition activity make financial technology one of the most dynamic segments in U.S. business," said Penny Crosman, editor-in-chief of Bank Technology News. "The FinTech 100 is a critical component of our year round commitment to keep our readers abreast - and ahead - of this fast-changing world."
