Bluegrass Cellular Renews Agreement with Interop Technologies for Cloud-Based Mobile Services

Interop Technologies, a provider of core wireless solutions for advanced messaging, over-the-air handset management, and connectivity gateways, today announced that Bluegrass Cellular has renewed its multi-year agreement for multiple cloud-based mobile services, including an agreement for the Interop (News - Alert) Rich Communication Services (RCS) solution. Bluegrass will continue to utilize Interop's Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Message Service (MMS), and Over-the-Air Provisioning (OTA) with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system as well as its Messaging Personalization and Control (MPAC) solution and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) service.

Bluegrass Cellular, known for delivering cutting-edge solutions to wireless subscribers in Central Kentucky, recently introduced a fixed LTE (News - Alert) service to complement its existing 4G LTE network launched through the Verizon Wireless rural LTE program. By taking advantage of Interop's cloud deployment option, the regional network operator will continue to provide subscribers with state-of-the-art core services while minimizing the in-house resources required to manage its technology solutions.
