SMC Introducing Gateway Products at NCTAJun 13, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- SMC Networks, a provider of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) for the complete digital home, is set to introduce its new Veloxite gateways and Oaziss Home Security, Monitoring and Automation (HSMA) solutions at The Cable Show 2013, June 10 - 12 in Washington, DC. According to a release, show attendees will have the opportunity to learn about SMC's new leadership comprised of seasoned industry veterans as well as the company's new vision that includes innovating products to open expanded market opportunities for its customers. The company said on hand at The Cable Show will be SMC's EVP & COO Joe Wytanis. "SMC is very excited to re-introduce our company to the nation's leading innovators of digital content, products and services," says Wytanis. "SMC will be introducing this audience to our latest generation of solutions that will expand cable operators' value proposition with new products and services." Further, among the solutions to be introduced at The Cable Show is SMC's flagship Veloxite family of cable modems, eMTAs and wireless gateways with 8x4, 16x4 and 24x8 channel solutions for both data and voice. The wireless gateways support high performance Wi-Fi 3x3 Dual Band Dual Concurrent (DBDC) capabilities, available 802.11ac and optional MoCA. Furthermore, the company is currently shipping Veloxite's Optical Network Terminal to EMEA. SMC said Veloxite includes built-in integration with the company's HSMA product line, Oaziss, and its Aegis 3G touch screen. Featuring a 3G cellular connection, Wi-Fi and ZigBee, the Aegis 3G is an all-in-one wireless command center for remotely controlling a home's complete security, monitoring and automation features.
