ACT's best businesses vying for prestigious awards(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Canberra companies driving professional development and industry productivity across Australia and overseas are among 14 finalists in the 2013 Telstra ACT Business Awards. Leading the way in professional development services is Transformed Pty Ltd, a specialist training firm for aspiring project managers. Established by Michael Young in 2006, the Kaleen based company provides a range of services from building and construction procurement and contract management. Transformed Pty Ltd also has offices in Sydney, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth. This software assists corporations and government agencies to attack "content chaos". Other finalists include the Noetic Group, a training and organisational change consultancy with clients such as the Australian Defence Force, government agencies and infrastructure companies, and Robson Environmental, a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy founded in 1990 that also services domestic and international clients. Food and beverage outlets also featured strongly with Deli Planet in Fyshwick and Adore Tea of Nicholls joining the family run, Choku Bai Jo the Farmers Outlet as finalists. Choku Bai Jo fruit and vegetable market in Curtin and North Lyneham also recently featured in the ACT Government's 'Top 100 Things People Like About Canberra' tourism campaign. Screencraft, a video production company launched in 2007 which won acclaim for its work on the Australian Federal Police's national Missing Persons Week campaign and the Kingston independent mortgage broker Tiffen & Co also made it to the finalists list.
