Lantiq Demonstrates at Computex Show


Jun 10, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Lantiq, a supplier of broadband access and home networking technologies, showed its DSLTE technology demo during the recent Computex show in Taiwan.

According to a release, the demonstration was based on a Lantiq reference design that combines a bonded VDSL broadband access link with an additional LTE access link in a single residential Gateway. The company said the advanced technology setup enables equipment manufacturers to provide service carriers with systems offering highest bundled data rates and flawless Quality-of-Service that leverage their existing DSL and LTE networks.

Benefits, as described by the company: -The reference design is based on Lantiq's AnyWan XWAY GRX Network Processor family, which includes Lantiq's latest technology for bonded VDSL and Vectoring -The pre-integrated LTE Module combined with the Lantiq platform enables throughput of up to 300 Mbps with minimum CPU load -Efficient usage of the aggregated 300 Mbps speeds is controlled by a software based traffic management suite running on the Lantiq GRX network processor Lantiq DSLTE is available on Reference Designs now.

Matthias Kindler, Lantiq Director of Product Marketing for CPE, will give a presentation on DSLTE at the LTE World SUMMIT in Amsterdam on June 25.
