Top Asia Business Schools Join Forces to Recruit Future Global LeadersLOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- Four of Asia's highest ranking business schools will embark on a talent search this summer in North America as its latest effort to attract future business leaders in global markets. The recruiting tour will kick off with a career panel on June 16 from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the LA Athletic Club in downtown Los Angeles. The four top tier, Asia based institutes of business education are the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Indian School of Business (ISB) and the Nanyang Business School (NBS) in Singapore. Together they have formed a coalition known as Top Asia B-Schools (TABS) in 2010 to jointly promote and recruit talented students for their MBA programs. Titled "Bridging Your Career with Asia," the panel will cover topics from economic trends, business culture to MBA education and career perspectives in Asia. Speakers include former CNN International Anchor Debra Daugherty, former Chairman of the Radio Television Digital News Association Stacey Woelfel, and MBA admission expert and career consultant Andrea Sparrey. The International Monetary Fund projected that Asia's economies would expand from $20.8 trillion to $30.3 trillion in the years between 2011 and 2016 - twice the size of the American economy. As the world's fastest growing economic region, Asia has become a key destination for Western business professionals seeking challenging, well-compensated employment opportunities. "Many multinational companies are opening their offices in Asia, which brings a lot of new positions and business opportunities to this region," says Sherring Ng, Head of Marketing and Admissions, MBA Programs at HKUST Business School. "They see the importance of setting foot in Asia to tap into these rising markets. Anyone who aspires to become a global leader cannot miss this crucial piece of exposure in Asia." "You have to be in Asia to better understand Asia and its challenges. This is why attending TABS will add significant value," said Nick Soriano, Director of Marketing & Admissions, Nanyang Business School in Singapore. "Our schools also give Western students something their counterparts can't: invaluable experience in international economic markets that many believe will matter most in tomorrow's business world," says Ajit Rangnekar, Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB). "In the new world economy, not leaving your comfort zone is no longer an option. Coming to Asia will allow you to familiarize yourself with the world's largest and most promising markets, enabling you to progress quicker in your career as well as secure yourself a more promising future in today's and tomorrow's business environment," says Roy Chason, Sr. Marketing Manager of China Europe International Business School.
