Keane Hires Seasoned Unclaimed Property Professional as Senior Manager

Keane (News - Alert), the number one provider of unclaimed property consulting, unclaimed property reporting, and customized communications services, proudly announces the addition of Rebecca Adams, CPA and CGMA, as Senior Manager in their National Consulting & Advisory Services Group.

Adams joins the Keane Unclaimed Property team with over thirty years in compliance, internal controls, general ledger, and financial statement experience. Her expertise in conducting unclaimed property audits on behalf of several states along with her experience in the public accounting field, has provided her with an in-depth knowledge of the common unclaimed property issues that holders experience.

Adams served as the Director of Audit, then later President, of Compliance Services Group, LLC., providing her with a strong background in educating holders on reporting and compliance. Throughout her career, Adams has implemented processes to ensure complete tax and unclaimed property compliance at all levels in the manufacturing, health services and financial services industries.

"While auditing on behalf of various states, I encountered many companies in need of holder advocate representation with specific knowledge of unclaimed property laws and how the laws pertained to their specific industry," said Adams. "Joining the team at Keane allows me to apply my compliance strengths toward audit support and helping holders ultimately achieve compliance."

As an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of State Treasurers and the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators, Adams has campaigned for minimum standards for unclaimed property compliance audits and a certification program for unclaimed property auditors.

Adams has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Montevallo. She currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama.
