Microsoft Selects Perficient as Partner of the Year for the United States [Manufacturing Close - Up]

(Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Perficient, Inc., an information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers, announced it has been named Microsoft's 2013 US Partner of the Year.

According to a release, the award recognizes Perficient, one of the top National Systems Integrator (NSI) partners in the country, for delivering technology solutions across all industry verticals and the entire Microsoft product stack.

"This recognition highlights the incredible talent and expertise we have on our team, Perficient's commitment to the Microsoft partnership, and the pride we take in helping clients realize enhanced productivity, communications and business growth through the use of innovative Microsoft technology solutions," said Jeffrey Davis, Perficient's chief executive officer and president. "We already are extremely proud to be included among an elite group of NSI partners, and to be named the U.S. Partner of the Year is an even bigger accomplishment and incredible honor to receive." Also noted by the company, highlights of client solutions Perficient delivered this year include: -SharePoint 2013 Implementation - An international financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate services and investment management recognized changes in use patterns on its public website, and sought to find a platform that would deliver the right content to an increasingly mobile and discerning user base. Perficient created a SharePoint 2013 website targeted to a specific property market in order to assess its new web content management features, such as search, user segmentation, and mobile device support.

-Office 365 Migration - One of the country's largest healthcare providers was looking for a way to provide better collaboration capabilities to their end users. Lync Online was a natural fit for this requirement. Office 365 integration options allowed for the client to quickly setup and extend their Active Directory environment for not only Lync Online, but all of the Office 365 services. With the simplified integration options, the client was able to deploy Lync Online to all 6,000 users within weeks.

-BI/SQL Server Implementation - A leading health system organization sought to optimize and extend the role of its electronic health records (EHR) system, helping the hospital make more well-informed decisions on critical matters. The company decided to make the information generated by analytics and EHR systems more timely and accessible through an integrated, business intelligence solution that leveraged SharePoint and SQL Server 2012. The health system's orthopedic surgeons now have accurate benchmark data on the performance of the various implant devices and timely information on which devices the hospital recommends. As a result, healthcare dollars are spent more effectively, saving over $1 million annually on implant device purchases.

"Perficient's Microsoft practice has seen incredible growth in large part due to our loyal customer base, talented consultants, and strong partnerships," said Mike Gersten, vice president of Perficient's Microsoft business group. "In just three years our Microsoft practice has grown so substantially that it now represents nearly a quarter of Perficient's revenue overall. This recognition from Microsoft is proof-positive that we're building the business the right way."
