BRIEF: Sports Briefs: Boat ramp open at Woodson Bridge


May 24, 2013 (Corning Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Boat ramp open at Woodson Bridge Access to the Sacramento River at the Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area has been cleared, and the boat ramp is ready for use just in time for the Memorial Day weekend.

4th annual Shriner's Golf Tournament The 4th annual Tehama County Shriner's Golf Tournament is teeing off June 22 at Sevillano Links in Corning.

It is a four-person scramble with a 9 a.m. shotgun start, all USGA rules apply, and the tournament is limited to the first 30 teams. Cost is $90 per golfer.

CUHS field hockey camp The Corning High field hockey program is holding a field hockey camp for players ages 10-15 from 9 a.m. to noon June 10-13 on the school's field hockey pitch.

The cost is $30 if received before June 4 and $35 if received after June 4. Registration forms are available at the school. Registration forms, insurance forms and payment can be mailed to: Corning High School, Teresa Lamb Field Hockey, 643 Blackburn Ave.
