Remember that iOS Game Controller Rumor from GDC? Here It Is.

Salt Lake City, UT, May 24, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Smartphone and tablet owners tend to agree that the touchscreen is often incredibly frustrating when playing games. Finally, an iOS controller was released today that presents the solution to clunky touchscreen controls that mobile gamers have been dreaming of.

Meet Bladepad--The iPhone Gamepad. Bladepad is a slide-out, video game controller for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that attaches to your iOS device via a protective case. The controller can be detached from the protective case for enhanced mobility and convenience.

Bladepad attended Game Developers Conference in March to meet with developers, leading to a flood of rumors that Apple was showing off a game controller disguised under a different company name, which Apple quickly denied.

'Bladepad is the perfect solution to awkward touchscreen controls,' said David Baum, CEO of Bladepad, LLC. 'For the first time, iPhone owners can enjoy the full console gaming experience.' Bladepad officially announced that they are accepting orders today and shipping to customers starting in June 2013. More information on the device is available at http://www.bladepad.com.
