iTalk Enter into LOI to Acquire 1-800-GET-VOIP Brand

May 24, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- iTalk Inc., a global provider of communications and mobile broadband services, announced that it has executed a Letter-of-Intent to acquire the 1-800-GET-VOIP vanity toll free telephone number and related domains GetVoip.TV, 800GetVoip.com, 1-800-Get-Voip.com and 800-Get-Voip.com from Softline Studios, LLC.

"Until now there has not been a truly dominant brand connection to VoIP service. Our new 1-800-GET-VOIP brand will be used to launch a new retail Voice-over-IP subscriber-based telephone service targeted to compete head-to-head with VoIP industry leaders like Vonage," commented David F. Levy, Chief Executive Officer of iTalk Inc. "iTalk is planning to commit substantial financial resources to promoting the new brand and just like 800-Pet-MEDS, 1-800-FLOWERS, and other unforgettable household names, we envision 1-800-GET-VOIP will become the brand name synonymous with global VoIP services." Loren Stocker of Vanity International said, "David F. Levy is a VoIP visionary for recognizing that memorable phone number and domain name integrated brands have been proven to be able to generate up to twice the TV and four times the radio direct response sales compared to traditionally branded consumer products and services. I believe his choice of the easy-to-spell and remember, 1-800-GET-VOIP toll-free vanity phone numbers and matching domain names will help him achieve his VoIP marketing goals like 1-800-FLOWERS has done to make their business successful." David F. Levy concluded, "We now have the brand name needed to propel the most affordable VoIP service to the masses in the U.S., Canada, and eventually throughout the world. More news regarding our official 1-800-GET-VOIP launch date, service features, and aggressive residential and business rate plans will be forthcoming." According to a release, this potential acquisition remains subject to, among other things, iTalk Inc. and Softline Studios, LLC completing customary pre-closing due diligence and executing a Definitive Agreement. The Definitive Agreement is expected to be signed by all parties on or before the end of May 24th. There can be no assurance that any transaction will be completed as proposed or at all.
