Field Nation Partners with Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association to Bring Satellite Skills to Field TechniciansMINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- Field Nation, a leading provider of independent field service technicians to the information technology (IT) industry, today announced a new partnership agreement with the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA). The partnership was created in order to provide Field Nation users with SBCA training, certification and professional support. Since 2002, consumer subscriptions to satellite broadcasting has grown more than 76 percent. Popular satellite providers, DIRECTV and DISH, have seen growth of 79 percent and 71 percent respectively. Combined with the dramatic growth of user-created content on web sites like YouTube (News - Alert) and other "information gateways," it is clear that satellite broadcasting continues to be a high growth business. For the satellite broadcasting growth curve to continue, the demand for skilled network technicians, troubleshooters and architects trained to install and support these satellite systems must be met. "We are excited about partnering with SBCA," said Mynul Khan, CEO of Field Nation. "It is a wn for institutional users, independent contractors and SBCA members. Our large institutional users can now find highly skilled satellite professionals right from our platform. Our independent contractor users have access to in-demand certification and the SBCA community. And, SBCA members gain access to a new network of work opportunities from Field Nation. It is really a great opportunity." SBCA provides education and certification for both residential and commercial satellite installations including servicing, theater, network, and lodging and institution, for DIRECTV and related satellite technologies. Hotel chains, hospitals, retail locations, apartment complexes and other large organizations can now use Field Nation to find SBCA-certified technicians in their area to service their satellite related needs. Field Nation users can connect directly with SBCA through the Field Nation web portal and sign up for training, schedule recertification and receive industry information. SBCA users can start using Field Nation immediately to find new work opportunities in their area and network with other industry peers. "Field Nation is an incredibly capable platform that not only allows our members to find opportunities for work but also allows them to engage with each other," said Amy Hagar, Senior Manager of SBCA Communications and Member Services. "We're also pleased to bring our training and certification offerings to those who want to get involved in our industry."
